We finally got a chance to try Six Foods’ Chirps for ourselves! We’ve been waiting for this day a long time :-) They may look like ordinary tortilla chips but they are far from it! In fact, some might say they’re part of the future of food.
Developed down the street at the Harvard iLab these chips are made from, you may have guessed it but might not believe it, bugs! Chirps are made from wholesome beans, corn, chia seeds, and ground cricket flour. They have 3x the protein and 40% less fat of the leading potato chip. Plus they are all-natural and gluten-free!

In terms of sustainability, water usage, and waste reduction - bugs are a fantastic piece of the puzzle we would be wise to incorporate into our diets. We loved meeting this creative crew and their vision for a sustainable future was nothing short of inspiring.
Our Review: We thought they tasted great! Like a slightly more filling tortilla chip. We paired ‘em with some of our favorite salsa from Nola’s Fresh Foods and shared them around the office. They were universally well received and we definitely look forward to trying more of what Six Foods has to offer!
